Magic Mirror

“So you are saying, you were walking your dog when a portal opened in front of you and a wizard popped out, pointed his wand at you and another portal opened beneath you, and you and your dog fell though, traveled through space and time for about five seconds, then landed in this castle?” Susan asked, her head tilted.

 “I know it sounds crazy, but dragons sound crazy in our world.” I tried to explain. 

Bon Bon barked in agreement. 

“Do you know anyone who could help me get back to my world?” 

Susan thought for a moment. “Well, my father- The king may be able to help you, but he is in a meeting with the corner kings right now. He will be done in about an hour.”

I sighed. “Is there anyone sooner? I need to be home.” 

“I’m sorry, but you will just have to wait.” she said.

We waited.

And waited.

“So… wanna play rock paper scissors?” I asked after a while.

“Play what?” Susan asked.

“Never mind. Oh! I know!” I said as I pulled out my phone.

“There may be no Wi-Fi, but there is still the camera!” I selected selfie mode and showed Susan.

“What kind of witchcraft is this!?...Is that my face!?” She exclaimed. 

“Think of it as a magic mirror that can look back in time.” I said.

“Can I see my past?” Susan asked.

“Well, not yet.” I said, taking a photo.

“Now look.” 

Susan gazed in wonder at the picture. 

“Wow.” 

We spent “About an hour” Taking selfies and marveling at the new and wonderful “Magic mirror”.

    Dear Dan, There is a follow up to this!!!!!! I wrote a 12326 word book with I as my start! I very much recomend it. (Yes, I know reomened is miss-spelled)

  You know what's funny?  About 50%* of all the stories I have written or thought of are about cats. And 20%* at least have cats in them. That only leaves 30%* for normal non-cat stories. 30%!!* I don't have any cats!! I have been scratched by a cat!!! I am allergic to cats!!! Long Road Home

I'm driving down this small road in the middle of a beautiful forest not knowing where I'm going, but not really caring anyway. All I know is I'm going somewhere and whatever happens I'm having fun. But then My phone pings. The Google Map app floods the screen. "I see that the route you're on now is slow," Google Map says. "But I have found a much better and more efficient route for you to take. Would you like to continue?" Faster is better, right? I start to wonder if I should try something bigger than my little road. Diving in the woods had been fine for so long, I wonder what this new path will be like. "Sure," I say, excitedly pressing "continue".  The directions veer me off my path.
