Reindeer Games 2
Today was December first, the first day of training. Rudolph met his students outside the school.
“Alright! I, as you all know, am Rudolph, your coach to becoming glorious young coursers pulling Santa's sigh.”
“Rudolph?” Vixen said, raising her hoof.
“Yes?”
“What will happen if one of us isn't ready in time for Christmas?” She asked.
“Oh, I don’t plan on letting that happen!” He answered. Vixen still looked skeptical.
“Any other questions?...Ok! Let’s get started! The first step to becoming a glorious young courser, is learning how to fly. Who wants to go fir-”
“Me! Me! ME!!!” That was Dasher.
“You seem eager! On three, one, two, three!”
Dasher was off like a shot, but soon crashed into a tree before getting very far.
“Very good! You got into the air! (and the tree) Next!”
One by one the reindeer started, ran, jumped, flew, crashed, and got back in line, all except Donner. Remember what I said about Donner? Not only is he new, he’s shy, and being surrounded by seven loud reindeer he was even quieter, so he never volunteered to fly.
“Oh! Donner! I almost forgot you, are you ready?” Rudolph asked him. Donner shrugged, Rudolph took it as a yes and started the countup. When he got to three, Donner sped off, but before he could lift off the ground, he tripped, and tumbled into a snow drift.
“Good try! We’ll get back to that.” Rudolph said.
