Angels 2

It all started when Rocky got picked first!!!! I couldn’t believe my angel brother was picked before me! Just because he’s older. Anyway, He has a specific task; his job is to protect mom. And there was room for me! I was instructed to watch for a little girl to come and bring me home. I would guard the children of the Farmers. So I waited. And waited. Little girls came and went. I had asked how I would know which girl was the one and I was assured I would know. So one day when a cute little girl with short brown hair came through the door, I knew. I ran up to her and she squealed with delight. But of course, it wasn’t that easy. So turns out, this little girl had her heart set on getting a white puppy. And my house brother was white. She let us both snuggle on her lap but it was hard to tell who was winning her heart. But then someone told her “The white one” was a boy and I saw her frown. Ah ha! Now I had a real chance. In the end, the little girl- whose name was Ginny- picked me. And little did she know she was snuggling her guardian angel.

  You know what's funny?  About 50%* of all the stories I have written or thought of are about cats. And 20%* at least have cats in them. That only leaves 30%* for normal non-cat stories. 30%!!* I don't have any cats!! I have been scratched by a cat!!! I am allergic to cats!!! Long Road Home

I'm driving down this small road in the middle of a beautiful forest not knowing where I'm going, but not really caring anyway. All I know is I'm going somewhere and whatever happens I'm having fun. But then My phone pings. The Google Map app floods the screen. "I see that the route you're on now is slow," Google Map says. "But I have found a much better and more efficient route for you to take. Would you like to continue?" Faster is better, right? I start to wonder if I should try something bigger than my little road. Diving in the woods had been fine for so long, I wonder what this new path will be like. "Sure," I say, excitedly pressing "continue".  The directions veer me off my path. There's no turning back now.  The road takes me to a wide speedy highway where I get bumped along by car after car, each clearly going big places.
